Perseus does not know who his real father and mother are, and worries that he will be neglected when his adoptive parents have a child of their own, but Spyros reassures him of his love.
Years later, Perseus (Sam Worthington) and his family are fishing when they witness a group of soldiers from Argos destroying a massive statue of Zeus, effectively declaring war on the gods. Immediately following the fall of the statue, Hades rises from the ocean, killing most of the soldiers and then destroying the boat Perseus and his family are on. Perseus attempts to save his family from the sinking boat, but is unable to, and passes out on driftwood from the wreckage. The surviving soldiers find him and take him back to Argos.

Our Family Wedding is a grim prospect on its face: a frantic wedding movie meets an uproarious culture clash movie, where two patriarchs - the smooth African-American and the fiery Latino - do hilarious battle and then there's some romance somewhere. It fails to deliver even on that meagre promise. Forest Whittaker and Carlos Mencia play the fathers of young lovers Marcus and Lucia (Lance Gross and America Ferrera) who return home to L.A. to announce their surprise engagement and plans to be married immediately. Things get complicated, when we learn that Lucia's family don't really like black people, and Marcus' father, a neat-freak radio DJ-cum-ladies'-man, doesn't like Mexican people. Predicaments predictably follow, in the proper order and to factory specifications.

Despite a legitimately (for the most part) talented cast and a set-up almost guaranteed to be worth at least a few forced laughs, the film manages to be almost completely devoid of humour. It's a punishing, depressing display. The film knows what beats to hit, and tries with heroic, military determination to hit them only to fail, every single time. We're presented with the really uncomfortable knowledge that the film knows it should be funny, here, here and here, and is really trying, honest - see how the goat tries to have sex with the fancy man!? - but just can't quite haul it's hackneyed self anywhere close to an actual laugh. It's ugly and it tries to make you complicit in its ugliness, like when you walk in on your roommate three quarters of the way through an extra large pizza and they try and make you eat the last slice.

To do the obvious thing and fail at it is the worst thing an artist can do. To offer a thin-gruel compromise to your audience, to say "here's a trite, rote ethnicity-clash wedding comedy that you know will be derivative but what else are you going to watch come on it can't be terrible" and then to hand them something terrible is just... rude. To ask us to watch Carlos Mencia flail his way through a grim, graceless Mr. Hulot-inspired bit of non-comedy is mean, and makes us feel badly about ourselves and the choices that brought us here.

One bright spot: Anjelah Johnson as the tomboy sister of the bride is the only actor in the film that's able to wring a couple of laughs out of it, and the sisters' relationship is one of the only interesting things in a film that's otherwise not much more than a grim procession of joyless clichés.

The fight choreography is all Chinese Kung Fu with elements of generic kicks and blocks found in most martial arts, but professionals will see it as Kung Fu and not karate.

Excellent cast with Jackie Chan but why not call it 'The Kung Fu Kid?' The title does not pay homage to the original movie. High budget movie but technically not true to the original movie.

In the original both were disaffected by really being a minority race living in the USA. Daniel (Italian) Miyagi (Japnese). In this movie Jackie Chan is in his own element and the boy is out of his own element - forced to live in China for mother's work.

Karate means 'Empty Hand' and Karate-Do is 'The Way of The Empty Hand'..

Jackie Chan says in the movie 'I will teach you real Kung Fu' makes it clear it is not about karate even to a novice with no knowledge of the martial arts.

I am disappointed by this.. pity real karate consultants were not consulted. I would have helped the producer out!

THE PANKY, group rock yang mulai turun pamornya, dimotori oleh Ipank, vocalist yang suka marah, Ozi pemain drum yang suka telat, Eric,pemain gitar yang senang ngambek dan Joy, bertubuh tambun dan suka kentut. Suatu saat, produser The Panky ingin membuat album kolaborasi antara Ipank dan Munanada, penyanyi melayu senior dan dianggap sebagai Raja musik melayu tapi juga sedang turun pamornya. Kaloborasi diantara mereka berdua diharapkan akan mengembalikan kejayaan mereka. Ipank awalnya menolak karena selama ini ia terkenal sangat anti melayu

Project mereka dimulai dan tidak berjalan dengan baik, Munanada yang sangat agamis menginginkan siapapun yang akan bekerja sama dengannya harus mengikuti aturannya, Ipank cs dirukiah, diceramahi dan dipereteli tindik dan antingnya, bahkan tattoo mereka juga mau distrika. Ipank cs mencoba bersabar dan bertahan, tetapi lama-lama kesal juga, sehingga saat latihan sering terjadi keributan sampai perkelahian, dan klimaksnya saat Munanada mengatakan bahwa Ipank telah menyakiti hatinya dan para lelahur melayu dan harus bersiap menerima kutukannya

Sejak itu selalu disetiap tempat dan kesempatan, Ipank mendengar lagu melayu munanada, pengamen dilampu merah, bahkan saat ia ditilang polisipun, ternyata polisinya menyanyi melayu..

Sumpah Munanada terus berlanjut, hingga suatu hari, Ipank berkenalan dan langsung jatuh cinta dengan seorang wanita cantik bernama Gabby , yang ternyata anak Munanada. Tentu saja Munanada tak merestui hubungan itu, Ipang bahkan di usir dan diancam agar tak mendekati anaknya lagi. Segala usaha dilakukan Ipang agar bisa bertemu Gabby tapi selalu dikandaskan oleh Munanada, sampai akhirnya Gabby mengatakan bahwa Ipang harus membuktikan pada Munanada bahwa ia bisa menjadi hebat dan bisa mengalahkan si Raja melayu Munanada
